Sorry for the lack of substantial posts lately! I wish I could say I’ve been super busy doing important things in my jet-setting life. But no, I’ve just reignited my love affair with Lost in Blue 2 for the DS. Stupid video games. Especially handheld ones that make it impossible to knit and play at the same time. At least when I’m on my XBox I can knit part of a row while at a loading screen.
Yes, that is slightly pathetic but my passions are knitting and video games. What’s a girl to do?
On the knitting front, I’ve been slowly working on my scarf. It’s slow going and I’ve only been doing one or two rows a night. This means that the scarf itself isn’t even an inch longer than the picture I posted earlier in the week.
I’ve also decided I want to try knitting a baby sweater for my boyfriend’s cousin’s baby. I am slightly terrified but also excited to give sweater knitting a try. I think I’m ready for something a bit more challenging than a stockinette sock or a plain-ish scarf. Still nervous though. I was considering making it out of some cotton yarn I have so it will be machine washable but I’m not sure what pattern to use. I know I can go to Ravelry but I’d be thrilled to get some suggestions for something knit with sport-weight cotton yarn that is kind to beginners. Either in the round or worked flat and seamed up, I’m willing to try either!
I’m working on my first sweater and I find that the majority is the same as knitting a sock. Worked in the round, just much bigger. I think you’ll do fine! Good luck!
